Building Solar-Powered Toys
At Play Beyond, we believe play has the power to bring joy and meaning. We were honoured to conduct a corporate CSR workshop for L’Oréal as part of their L’Oréal Citizen Day, combining hands-on participation with meaningful social impact.
During the session, employees assembled solar-powered helicopter toys made from interlocking wooden components. Each completed helicopter featured a propeller that spins under direct sunlight — a simple yet delightful feature that will bring smiles to underprivileged children in the Philippines, who can enjoy outdoor play without relying on batteries.
Guided Construction with a Personal Touch
Play Beyond facilitators guided participants step-by-step as they built their helicopters, using clear visual instructions. After completing their toys, employees could either decorate them or leave them unpainted for the children to personalize. Each helicopter was finished with a handwritten note of encouragement, attached to the tail — adding a warm, personal touch to every gift.
